Cabbage Tree / Tī Kōuka (Cordyline australis) is a native with a palm-like look. It grows with one solitary or several trunks trunk which hosts rosettes of long and lush dark green leaves. Tolerant of coastal conditions, heavy and wet soils, dry periods, frost and exposed conditions. Has sweetly sented white flowers and white-blue berries that attract birds. Abundant seeder. Suitable for riparian planting as it also can grow in swampy grounds.

Performs best in full sun or partial shade on well drained sites. Young tree needs open space, seedlings die, when overtopped by other trees.

Medium Orders (e.g., 2 cartons as above - 16 PB2’s etc or a mix) – $60 freight

Rural delivery may incur an additional fee.

UNDERSTANDING PLANT SIZES
What Does PB Mean? We list plant sizes using terms like PB2 or Root Trainer, which refer to the container size. PB stands for “Planter Bag,” and the number equals the volume in pints (1 PB ≈ 568ml).
